My mom passed last year, and I know she used FB to keep up with me. My dad was gone before FB was even a thing, but I know he probably would have taken a dim view of it. BTW I liked what you said about social anxiety. Mine seems to be getting worse the older I get. Makes things pretty darn inconvenient sometimes. |

Well, I'm going to approach them about having a Mastodon presence. I know it's hard, and not everyone is equally able to move at this time. But I am, and I want to encourage to consider if they are too. Fostering hate towards the powerless crosses a line with me. More than one, in fact. I was willing to give up "Buy Nothing" after that. |

Groups on here are special accounts that basically just repeat any post sent to them, which makes it easier for lots of people to discuss a common topic across many servers.
