The firmware upgrade itself went fine, only restoring the backup (both automatically during the upgrade process and, after resetting, by manually uploading the archive) resulted in those IPv4 issues. 😕

Yeah, There's an official warning on that page about mass upgrading packages being discouraged.

If there's a specific bug fix or security patch it makes sense to upgrade that specific package. But for the most part you should just install point updates. The firmware builder can be used to build an image already including all the packages you use regularly. Point updates shouldn't break settings but major version updates often do.
