@stefano@bsd.cafe Since the latest update to git my site no longer deploys using the script that worked before that last commit ??? It builds in the correct location but just does not run the deploy script even though it's set to true

So now I have managed to downgrade from a snapshot to the release as I mistakenly chose http for packages on install. I thought this would be the death of #OpenBSD on this PC but it just worked !
Be nice to me though as I'll openly admit to being an OpenBSD newbie. Everyday is a school day. ;)

Still playing around with #OpenBSD on my Desktop PC and to be honest I thought I'd hate it but you know what ? It's actually kind of growing on me. Yes I know I can use #SwayWM with #Wayland but the #Xorg stuff is kind of nostalgically nice, A blast from the past. Also I'm not that worried if I break it as I can just reinstall and start again until I figure it out totally.
What are desktops / terminals and so on are you OpenBSD folk running on your setups ?

Oh dear #SwayWM just broke on #FreeBSD after it updated to 1.11.R1 on latest.
Doesn't even start yet it did before the upgrade. I wonder whats changed ?
Best investigate the logs.

OMG I keep trying to install Wayland stuff like grim and swayimg when I really need scrot and Nitrogen. This will take a minute to get back into the swings of Xorg. #OpenBSD #RunBSD

Ok so I've got #OpenBSD running and installed #Herbstluftwm plus #Qutebrowser and I even have sound. Not bad at all for a first go on this Dell Optiplex 3080 Tower I5 with UHD630 and 32Gb ram plus a 1Tb NVME. It does seems strange being back in the world of Xorg though.

Oh thanks but I solved the issue. It was a dodgy USB stick.

Hmm NetBSD on my Dell Optiplex 3080 with Intel UHD630 graphics just doesn't work right. The X screen is broken and pixels flashing randomly. If I use the framebuffer it's fine. Tried all the usual stuff but maybe it's just too new ? So I'm going to give OpenBSD a shot just to see how it handles the UHD630.

I'm beginning to think that the onboard Intel UHD630 graphics are a wee bit too new for NetBSD 10.1 as startx works but the display is corrupted. You can just make out the terminal window and the pager but menus and text are just random broken lines.
