Föderation EN Fr 16.08.2024 22:11:31 I have an entire account @FediVideo and instance https://fedi.video devoted to PeerTube. I post on the account several times a day. I have guides about non-Mastodon platforms on the https://fedi.tips website, scroll down to see them. The reason I focus on Mastodon so much is that is where almost all new people enter the Fediverse at the moment, and it's new people who need the most help getting started. If new people came here via another platform, I would focus on that. |

Föderation EN Sa 17.08.2024 16:15:24 I do post about other platforms, for example I've often featured BookWyrm, PeerTube, OwnCast, Pixelfed etc. But by far the majority of questions I get from new people are from Mastodon users. Other platforms tend to have techy users who don't need my help. I am very worried by this situation, it would be much better if new people were entering the Fediverse on a wide variety of platforms. However, at the moment it seems Mastodon is the only one that is chosen by new people. |
