@eris2cats
Could you point me to a couple of historical worker/union actions were owners or even high level managers were killed?

Seems that it was usually the striking workers who got killed. On the other side of at all agents of the employers got killed. Never the money bags.

You know the role for reposting stuff, it's actually surprisingly similar for humans like for stuff that LLM based agentic search finds: or as someone proposed the people who have are surprised that you need to check the output of ChatGPT have a strong overlap with the people who don't consider it necessary to fact check humans or my variation who post extrapolated data without mentioning that it's extrapolated.

But yeah I'll try to verify that @ErikUden

@STE33PPM @eris2cats @ErikUden That was a political revolution, not really a worker revolt or strike.

And being rich was only a secondary consideration for most of the time of the revolution for the decision if you get a public deep shave. Being a royalist, a noble (even if poor), later on, being member of the wrong fraction of the revolution, hated by the public …

Rich was more of an attribute that just correlated with some primary criteria for getting chopped.

I would appreciate it, if we could limit the accounts mentioned in a reply to the ones actually addressed with the reply

Föderation DE Do 03.07.2025 21:24:17

@eris2cats Sigh, I'm just pressing the "reply button" in my client ;)

Worse not all clients alllow that management very conveniently, and even worse, some users have display name that is radically different from their handle, so with bare bone clients it's not trivial to guess that excluding "Andreas K" requires you to delete exactly that "@yacc143" string.

Föderation DE Do 03.07.2025 21:31:05

@yacc143 granted, yet otherwise we start to spam people that have nothing at all to do with the topic, and never engaged us nor do they appreciate to see 100+ mentions that they may have no interest in. Thanks for accomodating.

As mentioned on the desktop it's relatively easy, UI wise. On my phone not so much.

Muting a thread is also a basic functionality of Mastodon that most clients offer access to, so my vote is, this can only be a partial bring and pick up solution. Plus especially on the phone it's incredibly easy to get it wrong who said something initially. You know small screen and all.
