Föderation EN Mo 29.01.2024 00:24:20 Is there an easy way to troubleshoot why #Tusky doesn't work well with #Unifiedpush via #ntfy installed on my phone? I have a few other applications for which notifications are coming almost instantaneously, but with Tusky, I barely get any, and when I do, like every few days, I get like twenty notifications all at once - looks like all of those that were missed. I can't see anything in Tusky's preferences or account preferences, so it's pretty opaque. |
Föderation EN Mo 04.03.2024 22:17:04 @ticho if you're prepared to try Pachli as your client then I've just built a feature that's designed for exactly that. Install Pachli 2.3.0 (the latest release) and see https://pachli.app/pachli/2024/02/17/debugging-notifications.html for details. |

It shouldn't be necessary to make the application's battery settings "Unrestricted". In fact, that's the big selling point of push notifications, that there's only one app periodically waking up and checking, thus saving battery by only having one network connection active, and that app will wake up other apps as notifications for them come in. |
Föderation EN Do 22.08.2024 11:44:00 @nikclayton Better late than never, I guess - I just installed Pachli, we'll see how it goes over the next few days. The About->Notifications screen looks good, although the Log section in there shows one error thrown. |
