@slothrop 1st, the count is within the paginated response. If you scroll down and loads the next "page", it should show another count for the same post. If this is done in back-end, it could be scoped by a timing window e.g. 30 boosts and 120 likes within the last 5 minutes, so they usually are not the *total*.

2nd, Phanpy dedupes the count in every notification group. If 4 boosts and 4 likes are from the same people. It'll show 4 instead of 8. Most clients don't do this.
