As a Beta Tester, this math sounds correct.

@nblr This was back when you had to pay $20 for a copy (I think?). It was free with the college discount so I never had to pay for it. By the time I left college Netscape was open sourced (most people were using IE which Microsoft bundled with Windows 95 for free) so it was a moot point.

@nblr I remember being in elementary school when my mom worked for the NC school of the arts. I’d go there after school some days and hang out in their computer lab where they had Mac’s and SGI machines on a T1 connection. That was my first introduction to those kinds of computers and the internet. Netscape was the default, and it was so great. I loved watching the comet animation while pages loaded. Back then you really could explore the internet and Netscape made it feel that way
