Why is @Mastodon pushing so hard to not call the fediverse the fediverse? I get that its not the most sexy name but "The social web of ActivityPub powered platforms" doesn't really roll off the tounge either.

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of meeting @cwebber AFK for the first time. I have been following her work since early MediaGoblins, thru to ActivityPub standardiziation & on to her work with @spritely. That people can exist in this digital and mental realm for so many years & then suddenly exist in front of you as real humans with flesh & bones never ceases to amaze me. I also got to meet Pooja, who's one of the people responsible for the initial industrial design for the MNT Pocket Reform!

Theres a new interview with @hongminhee (of @fedify, @hollo, and now #Ghost fame). It's in with Korean subtitles but quite readable with YouTube's autogenerated English subs.

Just noticed this "Open in the application? " banner on @framasoft's "What is the fediverse" @peertube video and I have the app installed thru @fdroidorg but it takes me to the Google Play download page for it instead of opening it in the app. Makes for a really bad fediverse experience, we need to figure out these sorts of flows and make sure they reliably work. #fedidev #peertube #fediverse
