@ken_fallon well volunteered 😁

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 20:12:33

@oggcamp @ken_fallon it would have helped with all the historical research for the reboot if one of those had existed!

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 20:16:24

@ken_fallon you have just nerdsniped someone. (Steps backwards quickly)

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 20:32:37

@solderandchaos @ken_fallon I just had a quick look around, and probably not enough secondary sources for to sustain a Wikipedia article.
Anyone know of any?

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 21:01:31

@Addshore @solderandchaos @ken_fallon There's some historic coverage in Linux Format, I still have some physical issues. Otherwise it's all blog posts and podcasts from community members.

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 22:05:59

@marxjohnson I would try and lookup some issues on archive.org to see how extensive the PDF archive is, but its currently down!
web.archive.org/web/2006100115
If they do reference though, and you have issue numbers, that would be great!

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 22:49:14

@Addshore @marxjohnson hopefully this helps. linuxformat.com/archives just search for Oggcamp.
I'll speak to the editor and see if I can release the pdfs for everyone.

Föderation EN Mo 14.10.2024 12:56:58

@Addshore @marxjohnson All of those issues are now public and ready for download.

Föderation EN Mo 14.10.2024 21:42:48

@biglesp @marxjohnson @andypiper @ken_fallon @solderandchaos

Lovely!
So, I'm starting with a Wikidata item, where I'll collect the statements I can find, and various sources wikidata.org/wiki/Q130532489

And Might try and start a draft of a Wikipedia article after that!

If anyone knows what licence etc the ogg camp logo is, it would be great for it to end up getting uploaded to commons.wikimedia.org/

Föderation EN Mo 14.10.2024 22:02:08

@Addshore @biglesp @marxjohnson @ken_fallon @solderandchaos I believe the logo regenerates between events - specifically I think @garythewilliams knows about the 2024 iteration and what licence it might be shared under.

Föderation EN So 13.10.2024 23:07:26

@Addshore LXF257 (2019), LXF229 (2017) and LXF150 (2011) are the issues I have with write-ups. I also have LXF148 which ran a full-page ad for 2011's event.
