look i've heard everyone leave twitter six or seven times now and i've seen app.net arise only to fall, bluesky is interesting but i don't know that i'm confident anyone over there learned their lessons at twitter and i have yet to see anyone i know land on a federated instance either.

#mastodon has been far more pleasurable to use and share with people and especially for people in my field (#infosec && #cybersecurity && #privacy) cuz we're in abundance and i feel like i've found my space.

i don't suppose you're considering branching out into #Matrix managed instances?

@codinghorror can't wait to find out what happens next in this thread. for like a year it was driving me insane that i couldn't remember a quote about the ideal nature of someone's home. five months ago i found it in the book i first read it in, and i still don't shut up about it, so i'm expecting a good pay-off once someone finds what you're looking for!

i would like to introduce a technical executive with an engineering background and diabetes to someone in the #HealthKit team at #Apple, because a “no updates" control failed and her blood glucose instrument silently stopped working overnight because of it.

this could be an incident that could be impacting a lot of people that don't know about it and she's recovering to a working state again but i don't think this should have happened. the FDA certified the device for #AppleHealth lil’ halp?
