@ivory does Ivory have any debug logs or any other sort of additional details it captures when it shows me a red error message it saying it can’t connect (to instance)? iOS and desktop.

Had this intermittent connection issue but I’ve only noticed it with ivory, not the masto client or website. Usually if I repeat the action it works fine a second time.
Has always happened but I should dig into this, I’ve checked server logs themselves but I think the disruption is before it gets that far.

@colinstu Not really. There are some logs you can try to capture if you go to the support section of the app and hit the "contact us" button. It creates an email with some logs. May or may not have that data though.

@ivory I was able to figure out the issue (that prompted wanting to find more info). I had a firewall that was blocking a cloudflare IP address range. The instance is reachable through two IPs and the other one isn’t blocked, which lead to the intermittent frequency.

From the user side on client it just shows a red dropdown (vs theme colored) and says it failed, and when I’d retry it would almost always work. Wish it could provide just a little more output somehow.
Will provide if comes up.

@ivory hmm. Tried this. New email opens but no attachments? Tried on iOS so far.

@colinstu There should be log files. Wonder if your device needs a restart to fix things.

@ivory hmm, same thing after reboot. the macOS ivory client too experiences this, it opens up a new email and fills in the subject/to/and body but there are no attachments.

@colinstu It's possible that there just aren't any logs found then.
