Hopefully you already know you can search and follow hashtags.
If you are interested in wildfires in Australia the hashtag term you need is bushfire and emergency management might come under the DisasterManagement hashtag.

@camless I don't work in it, but I can say this much: if States and counties want to minimize the damage, they'll do the controlled burns and the tree thinnings like the Good Indigenous People told us all to. Not trying to be unsupportive here. Just hoping you'll pass that around to the powers-that-be. So sick and tired of their not doing the right thing, and then people such as yourself have to come along and deal with the disasters afterwards. Oh, and down with the power companies who put profits over people!
