Föderation EN Mi 09.04.2025 12:18:03 Is there a podcast series exploring #Linux through a blind person? Not for me, for others, but could be worth getting to listen and follow along. If not a podcast, I'll take YouTube, but the person likes podcasts because of RSS feeds. @mastoblind |

Föderation EN Mi 09.04.2025 18:28:00 @lienrag @WeirdWriter depends on your search, edencast has one but in French. is that good for you? I always heard of sonarlinux with Jaonahtn Nadeau doing this. Dont know which status is now. @kyle did one iirc |
Föderation EN Mi 09.04.2025 21:36:01 @WeirdWriter @mastoblind It sounds like it's mainly NVDA for screen readers on Linux, which got me this video [ https://youtube.com/shorts/v1I1-Iz2wck?si=sOmuNSuO6n48I3vT ] showcasing the Bash command line in Ubuntu. This is sort of my go-to when I think of comparing the other screen readers - unsure if they have a specific video about Linux, however [ https://youtu.be/9_K5-4ngDtE?si=P_lKLdqItBi-eh_x ]. |
Föderation EN Do 10.04.2025 00:20:17 @WeirdWriter awesome question! I know there was something at some point, a person who did hacking and such if I remember correctly, I seemn to remember it was called I see null, but that might just be a twitch account handle, brodie robertson had a tech over tea episode with the person. I thought of making one, but I'm not sure if there are enough accessibility things regularly enough to worant making a weekly or whatever podcast episode, except probably this bug I ran into which makes my screenreader run out of memory whenever I open specific apps, but anyways that's offtopic lol |
Föderation EN Do 10.04.2025 05:11:09 @WeirdWriter @mastoblind I've definitely heard a podcast where a blind guy installed an accessible distro from scratch, so it existed at some point. Sorry I don't have any more details |
