I was the same when it was "don't shop this Friday" last week. I almost never buy anything on a Friday anyway. We grocery shop on Tuesdays and sometimes on a Thursday and most weeks, I don't buy anything else for the rest of the week! And if I do, it's likely in a charity or secondhand shop.

I can't remember the last time I shopped on Amazon, it might have been for a book I couldn't get otherwise at the time.
