@kangaroo5383 It's the latest version of screening employees with a Myers–Briggs test. It's about as scientific and meaningful. But that's less important than being cheap and automatable, which is vital when screening large numbers of candidates.

@aires Google has to throw out their old algorithms because the Web has been SEOed to fuck, and most of what Google was finding were auto-generated fake review sites with affiliate links. They are going all in on AI because it's all they have left. And it won't work, because the spammers are already cranking up their own generative sludge farms

@0xabad1dea Humans are no better given text-only communication. There was a period of the internet briefly when gender actually didn't matter much, because there wasn't the capacity for affordable voice or video. Women would still get plenty of abuse if people knew, but unless they outright stated it few would guess they were talking to a woman.

These days you're not going to get social-media-popular unless you give plenty of photos and video. Text alone doesn't generate the same empathy.
