Föderation EN So 05.01.2025 21:21:54 Stockyards were once the primary trading/distribution hubs for livestock across the US, and the Lancaster Stockyard was the largest on the east coast. It was also the first to be prosecuted for animal cruelty. See the rest of its ruins at https://www.abandonedamerica.us/lancaster-stockyard Medien: 1 |
Föderation EN Do 05.12.2024 00:59:57 One of my all-time favorite spots, the trolley graveyard was a privately owned collection of streetcars on 19 acres of track stretching back into the woods. The owner, my good friend Ed Metka, passed away earlier this year and the cars are being scrapped. Medien: 1 |

Föderation · Mo 10.07.2023 18:16:45 Judge me if you want, but I created a Threads account - mostly to prevent impersonation, but also a bit out of curiosity. Millions of users or not, it is at least at the moment a pretty lousy alternative to the Fediverse. Aside from my hatred of Meta, the feed is utter trash with no way to manage it, I can't even set a profile photo, and replies inexplicably don't show up. These are really basic design and usability issues that, if not addressed, will tank longer term user numbers |
Föderation · Do 06.07.2023 17:14:39 There are many things to like about the Fediverse but the overabundance of people who take every opportunity to assume you don't understand simple or obvious concepts so they can explain them to you like you're four - particularly when you're clearly joking about something - is not one of them |
