The ecosystem will adapt. The thing at risk is our survival. We're not "fighting for the planet" we're fighting for our own survival. |

Just pointing out that the conversation is always "humans need to save the planet" instead of "humans need to preserve the specific climate required for our survival." It's not even about the holocene, that's just a period of time. When we speak of the fight for climate change, the victim in the statement is always "the planet" and that makes it very easy to be apathetic about the problem. It obfuscates the issue because the victim isn't "the planet". The victim is us. The victim is humanity. |
